Little Black Dot

it is finally
that time.
the sky white aluminum
keeping the heat out.
last night i thought my furnace broke
again
and i pretty much degenerated into a string of expletives.
and then i rolled my eyes and got out of bed and put on
the sweatpants the wool socks sweater scarf hat
and got back into bed again. then the funniest dream happened.
i was being boiled to death. i woke up
dressed for a snow storm under my duvet and
my apartment was 25 degrees.
ha ha?
it's final project time
and nothing is lovely
and i'm starting to chain smoke.
bring on the lemon water.
